I am pleased to announce that British casting director Sarah Leung has joined the team of “Metal Girl“, in casting the lead and other principal roles for the feature film project, which is currently in development.
Sarah is based in London and has worked on major US and UK films and TV shows from “Batman Begins” and “Children of Men” to “Luther” and “Law & Order: UK”. Sarah is currently casting director on the indie thriller “Sunburn 2” and a biography of the Bronte sisters “The Brontes”. Here is her official bio (courtesy of Shepherd Management):
“Sarah was born and raised in Manchester, England, and began her career in film as assistant to producer Larry Franco on “Batman Begins”. She was asked to return to the film’s post-production as assistant to Emma Thomas (wife of director Christopher Nolan). Sarah moved immediately into casting, working with one of London’s premiere casting offices on Alfonso Cuaron’s “Children of Men”. She then spent the next few years, working with up and coming British filmmakers before turning her sights to also gaining experience in the fast-paced world of television casting. Sarah freelanced for the the BBC, working for top UK TV casting director Andy Morgan on some of the country’s highest rated series and mini-series (“Luther”, “Law & Order: UK”, “Inside Men”, etc. ). In 2013, she finally found her niche and is one of the UK’s most promising new generation of independent casting directors.”
I’m excited to have Sarah on this project with Metal Girl Films and to be working with such a gifted casting director.
